FRANK J. LEBDA, Certified Public Accountant

FRANK J. LEBDA began his career with Ernst & Young in 1977. In 1986, he founded his own firm, before combining with Wonak & Co. in 1997 to form LHW & Associates.

Frank is a CPA with a broad background in accounting, financial and tax matters and experience in serving clients in a diversified number of fields, including construction, manufacturing, banking and mortgage banking industries. He has served on the board of directors for a manufacturing company and president and treasurer for two not-for-profit organizations. Additionally, Frank has received specialized, post graduate training in taxes, auditing and management consulting.

Frank provides audit, review, compilation, tax and consulting services to corporations and not-for-profit organizations. Additionally, he provides tax planning and tax preparation for individuals. Frank’s depth and breadth of experience in both accounting and business management and oversight make him a solid partner for any company in need of financial expertise.

“The thing that makes us different is our hands-on approach,” Frank says. “We believe that every client deserves accurate, timely accounting support and the in-depth reporting that supports their decision-making process. But we also believe that our small firm culture provides responsiveness, attentiveness, and the personal touch that our clients may not find elsewhere.”

Frank is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society. His experience has enabled him to be a reviewer of the Illinois CPA Society Peer Review Program, and he has served as Sub Committee Chair for the Illinois CPA Society. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Accountancy and Finance as well as a Masters in Business Administration from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.

PEGGY KEEGAN, Certified Public Accountant

PEGGY KEEGAN is a certified public accountant who started her career in accounting with the tax department at Cooper & Lybrand in Austin, Texas, prior to joining our team in 1989.

Peggy applies her 20+ years of accounting experience to handling LHW & Associates’ client tax issues. As the firm’s Tax Manager, Peggy focuses most of her attention on handling tax-related needs, ensuring that the critical reporting around tax filings reflects the very best outcomes for the client while complying with rules and regulations and laying the groundwork for future successes. Peggy collaborates with other members of the team to contribute her extensive background in taxation throughout the account management process, ensuring that all tax issues are fully examined.

Peggy may be best known for her warm, long-term relationships with many of the firm’s clients. Much of her pride in her work comes from ensuring that clients are happy with the service provided year after year as a partner in their business operations. Her consistent professional assistance and expertise creates a comfort level for clients that a trusted advisor has their best interests in hand.

It’s this comfort level that encourages her clients to contact her with any tax question. “Not all issues with accounting and tax are black and white,” Peggy relates. “Most clients enjoy being able to call with a question and get a timely, personal and accurate response, so they can get back to their business.”

Peggy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

MARK PRICE, Certified Public Accountant

MARK PRICE is a certified public accountant with nearly 20 years of corporate and public accounting experience prior to joining the LHW in 2008.

Mark brings substantial background and financial expertise to every LHW & Associates client. With experience in a range of corporate accounting positions from Staff Accountant up to Controller, Mark understands the importance of accounting in supporting business goals, and he approaches every client with the goal of eliminating a business owner’s accounting concerns. Business owners count on Mark’s keen accounting eye.

Mark is an accounting generalist, taking a high-level view of our clients’ needs and managing all aspects of their financial picture. From comprehensive audits to monthly reporting, Mark personally manages all activity supporting the firm's clients’ business to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.

The drive to provide a top-notch client experience fuels Mark’s enthusiasm for his work, and reflects LHW & Associates’ approach to service. “Our team approach is critical,” Mark shares. “It’s the only way to deliver the most comprehensive solutions and service to ensure that our clients get complete accuracy that they can rely on.”
